Fire Advisory in effect August 29, 2025- until further notice

Town of Onoway is issuing a FIRE ADVISORY effective today. With increased temperatures and dry conditions no further permits for large burns will be issued until further notice. Smaller burns may be considered with prior approval, contact Lac Ste Anne County Fire Services for details.  

Currently issued Fire Permits for allowed burning and any burn barrels, campfires, wood-fired appliances, and approved fire pits will be allowed at this time; however, please use with extreme caution with more frequent monitoring and enhanced extinguishing methods.

Existing Fire Permits will not be granted extensions while the Fire Advisory is in effect, and no new lighting of piles is allowed without prior approval. Fireworks during a Fire Advisory or Fire Ban are prohibited.

Please report any wildfire to 9-1-1 with the exact location to assist Fire Personnel in locating and extinguishing these fires. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
