Open to All - Free childcare for Little ones

Community Event at the High School on Thursday October 5. Derek Peterson, youth advocate, has worked with many communities all over North America. He understands that each is different and is able to assist the youth and adults within in building webs of support for one another. His work in communities has shown decreases in drug and alcohol abuse, suicide rates, and more. Derek will provide the humor and knowledge to help us nurture resiliency, grit, and community! Our evening begins at 6:00 with light refreshments and the event will get underway at 6:30. Our invitation extends to anyone residing in the Onoway area, as well as those whose children attend our schools after time spent in Grasmere, Darwell, or Rich Valley. If you have small children, free babysitting for the event will be provided. Come on out and support the mutual effort of your community!
